In Danzza Dance Studio, we have achieved to offer a complete mind and body working training program ! As a result, besides our dancing, group and private lessons we have added a brand new fitness bunch of classes to attend !

We selected our teachers very carefully in order to achieve a very high level of teaching methods and techniques, combining the best fitness sessions available at the time !

We are proud to invite you to attend our Yoga, Pilates and Zumba classes. Each kind of training method has something different to offer, but the combination is the bomb !!!

Below you can have some additional information about these styles of body training, so it will be easier for you to choose. Remember to give a try to all of them before you finally make up your mind. They are, believe us, something else !!!

Zumba

Zumba is a Colombian dance fitness program. It involves dance and aerobic elements. Zumba's choreography incorporates hip hop, salsa, samba, merengue, mambo, martial arts as well as some Bollywood and belly dance movements.There are 12 million people taking weekly Zumba classes in over 110,000 locations across more than 126 countries !!!

The exercises include music with fast and slow rhythms, as well as resistance training. The music comes from the following dance styles: Salsa, cha cha, cumbia, merengue, flamenco, reggaeton, samba, belly dancing, hip hop and tango. Because the Zumba program is low-impact, it is safe for all ages. At least some of the classes are specifically aimed at elderly people, which can help them to build strength, improve motion and posture, and socialize.

A typical Zumba session burns between 500 and 1000 calories !!!

Part of the Zumba programs' popularity can be explained by its adoption by celebrities all over the world. Jennifer Lopez, Kristie Alley, Toni Braxton, Victoria Beckham, Natalie Portman and Jackie Chan are among the many Zumba celebrity fans around the world !!!

Yoga

Yoga  is commonly known as a generic term for a physical, mental and spiritual discipline. It's origins are found in ancient India ! The aim of yoga is to improve your health and body fitness using not only physical exercises, but mental techniques as well !!!

One of the most recent trends in the practice of and research about yoga as alternative therapy is how it relates to the field of positive psycology. Drawing from recent research on the mental and physical benefits of practicing yoga, positive psychologists have begun to look deeper into the possibilities of utilizing yoga as a positive psychology therapy !!!

Pilates

Pilates is a physical fitness system developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates. As of 2005, there were 11 million people practicing the discipline regularly and 14000 instructors in the USA alone !!! 

Pilates is a body conditioning routine that helps build flexibility and long, lean muscles, strength and endurance in the legs, abdominals, arms, hips and back. It puts emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment, breathing to relieve stress and allow adequate oxygen flow to muscles, developing a strong core or center and improving coordination and balance. 

Pilates' flexible system allows for different exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginning to advanced. Intensity can be increased over time as the body conditions and adapts to the exercises. No muscle group is under or over trained ! It enhances core strength and brings increased reach, flexibility, sure-footedness and agility.

Finally, pilates has been claimed to be a highly valuable and beneficial form of exercise even during pregnancy !!!
